There’s a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I’m too tough for him,
I say, stay in there, I’m not going
to let anybody see
you. — “Charles Bukowski”
What is inside of you? And are you keeping it inside?
Closed the blinders in your heart, let it out at nights when you are alone to remind yourself of the wings you have?
Do you suppress the fluttering do you hear a Child’s voice echo down the halls of your mind?
We often hide ourselves from the world because of the fear of being rejected, mocked, we chew or own corners to fit in to a puzzle bland and colourless a puzzle consisting of one piece a puzzle with no colour. You are not just a piece you are the sky or ocean or flowers or thunder to a picture painted by God this life you have is far greater than what you believe it to be you are hue not yet seen show yourself please you are far more beautiful than you realize and loved beyond measure.
Inside of us a little boy/Girl a bird a storm a true us, battling to come out, don’t give up everyday choose to reveal yourself to yourself know that inside of you is a loving God unashamed of who he made, I know the voices has sharp edges the eyes can be cruel, but do not kill the bird, blue or red, green and purple, does not matter feel inside your spine there is wings ready to sprout there is an eagle asking let me out his chicken coop.
