Do you feel it?

I feel it in my fingers I feel it in my toes
I feel it in bones
I do, I feel the life throbbing, thumping,
A thunderous explosion of life inside when I sit and write.

I know that writing on the feel-good days is good but to only write on those days I will struggle to write and finish a book, there is something to live beyond the pleasures of a dream, and work for it, to push beyond the honeymoon moments, and do the trough sickness and in health part, see you will always love it, but there will be days when you are sick, will you still write?
There will be days when because of a certain set of circumstances that it will truly be hard to continue what you committed to, will you do it? There will be days when the beautiful flow of it, just does not come when writing a word is harder than ever, and there will be times when the moments of “it just came to me” feels few and far between, sometimes you have to wake up and change the nappy and sit with the crying and I believe that
There will be days when friends and or family will be sick, will you still do it? There will be days when your heart is breaking, there will be cold days, there will be that day you dread, will you still…
There will always be days, some of those days are now, the day of the lockdown the day of COVID_19, the day of losing stability or even income the days will come one after another, the question is what will you?
I think of where there is a will there’s a way.
What is the will?

I feel like this is the battle that happens every day it is to wake up and smell the day, smell the moment, to be aware that you don’t always feel like it at first, I still don’t.
“The difference between an amateur and a professional is in their habits. An amateur has amateur habits. A professional has professional habits. We can never free ourselves from habit. But we can replace bad habits with good ones.”
Steven Pressfield, from his book The war of art. (I recommend to anybody)

There is a way, that way is in hard work and dedication, all I am focusing on now is this thing I am doing worth my sweat, is this thing I am busy with part of me is this my language and yes before I even knew you could love, I loved poetry and it has just been around my life now I offer it my time and I love doing it, writing reading listening, but now I know that I can easily neglect it if I just chose not to because I feel distracted or tired, I know the more time I spend writing the more I discover myself.
“You know I love you, I always will
My mind’s made up by the way that I feel
There’s no beginning, there’ll be no end
‘Cause on my love you can depend
I got to keep it moving
Ooh, it’s written in the wind
Oh everywhere I go, yeah, ooh yeah
So if you really love me, love me
Come on and let it show”
I enjoy the lyrics of Love is all around by the Troggs, maybe more known version is by Wet Wet Wet.
Go and love the things you love, keep it moving let it show, be brave and keep it up there will be days and that’s the thing there will not always be a day at least a bad day is a day.
do you feel it? Its there in your finger in your toe, whispering in the wind.

Thank you for reading
Peace and Love.
